At Riverbend Braccos our dogs share a big fenced yard and a comfortable home.  You will find, within walking distance, large open parks and the beautiful American River where we spend a lot of time with our dogs.   Lake Natomas also offers a large tranquil lake for our dogs to train, play and swim.  We are members of Hastings Island Hunting Preserve in Rio Vista, CA so our dogs get a lot of hunting exposure and time in the field.

Our Standards:

Riverbend Bracco puppies are bred for their temperament, conformation, hunting instinct, and above all versatility.  We also know that you hunt with a dog approximately 60 days a year (if you are lucky!), but you live with them 365 days a year. So a good disposition and socialization are extremely important.

Your Riverbend puppy will be socialized from birth to 8 weeks old.  All puppies will receive their first shots and wormings.  They will be micro-chipped, have dew claws left intact and tails docked.  Riverbend also tests each puppy with a Puppy Test to help match the best puppy to your family. This is a great benefit to you as you make the tough decision of which puppy to adopt.  And once your puppy is home, Riverbend is only a call or email away for ongoing breed support.

We consider ourselves fortunate to have VCA Sacramento as our veterinarians. The staff at VCA Sacramento has the latest technology and expertise to help us produce puppies that are well bred and of sound health. Our Riverbend bloodlines/pedigrees are of the best Italian bloodlines.

Riverbend offers dogs with beauty and grace along with strong hunting instinct. They descend from many generations of proven Bracco Italiano field and conformation champions. They are excellent family dogs, hunting companions, pointers, and retrievers.

The Bracco is a rare breed.  We feel it is important to try to stay connect with other bracco owners and share our common love for this breed.  We strongly encourage anyone who is interested in the breed to join the Bracco Italiano Club of America.

You will receive a complimentary one year membership for the Bracco Italiano Club of America with the purchase of your puppy.  Our members are a wealth of information on the breed and provide the best resources & support for new owners!

The Bracco Italiano is a strong swimmer.  The breed is known for its large webbed feet!  As with any training, proper introduction to water is important.  Some dogs are a little hesitant about their first swimming lessons and if they become scared, have a bad experience, or get pushed into the situation it could ruin their enthusiasm for it.
