Hastings Island Hunting Preserve, in Rio Vista, CA always makes for a great destination for any upland bird hunter. BICA hunting coordinator Keith Kessler put together the 7th Annual Bracco Italiano Club of America Regional Gathering which was held April 11-12, 2015.
A morning chucker hunt was held on Saturday with 23 people in attendance along with with 16 Braccos 1 Wirehair, 1 Gordon Setter, 4 Vizsla and 1 Spanish Pointer and 2 Labradors! Beautiful dogs, lots of nice points and good shooting resulted in a very successful and enjoyable morning! We returned to the clubhouse after the morning hunt for a delicious barbequed New York Steak lunch. Some attendees returned to the field for an afternoon hunt while others shot trap. Saturday evening, was spent at Mary's Pizza & Pasta for more fun food and lots of laughter!
Sunday morning we had a fun dog show judged by Leslie Earl. Twelve braccos participated.

What's better than 1 Bracco in the field? 23 Bracchi in the field. Riverbend Bracco Italiano Kennel hosted our annual regional Bracco Italiano gathering March 22-23, 2014. We had 23 Bracco's in the field at Hastings island for the Chukar hunt. It was so great to see old friends and make new ones. We tried to get as many pictures as we could but it wasn't easy.
The regional gathering dog show was March 23, 2014 and Asia Di Cascina Croce won Reserve Best In Show! Riverbend's NatBA. & IntBA. CH. AMORE Di CAOS was awarded Best Female puppy 6-12 months & Riverbend's NatBA. & IntBA. CH. Benuto Perla was awarded Best Male puppy 6-12 months at the regional gathering dog show!
Riverbend's NatBA. & IntBA. CH. AMORE Di CAOS earned her AKC Junior Hunt Title at only 6 months old. Riverbend's NatBA. & IntBA. CH. Benuto Perla quickly followed and earned his AKC Junior Hunt Title a couple weeks later. We could not be more proud of Nikki Hockenberger and Aline Pearl for their commitment to these puppies!

Asia di Cascina Croce (Ellie) was awarded her AKC Jr. Hunt test title on 8/26/2012. Ellie passed her hunt test in four out of four days! On the final day of the test, the judge awarded Ellie a perfect score (10) for bird finding ability!!!!!
